-now its time for a long long over due break from all things music...there is much much more to Life.
-
-I’m excited to record a new batch of songs...(some that are my best ever....maybe thats my ego talking, but It has become very clear to me that a very large EGO is needed in the insane musical quest...which is a big reason for my stepping away from it all for a little bit....so I’ll say it again....the new songs that I will record..in time..are songs I am extremely excited about)..
-
-I will do a few one off shows over the next couple of months, but then I plan on staying off the “pursuit of musical treasures for a while”.....or maybe thats just a way off saying I will be working on some new music projects that I am very excited about.....!!!!
-
-Over and out........I will definitely be back in time for more Gulf Island summer shows in 2009.

It’s been a quiet month. It was a great show in Oakville at the moonshine.
Things will be quiet for the next few months. I will be slowly working on the new record.
I will be taking a break from touring until this coming spring. It has been a very busy few years and it’s time for a little break from
the addictive, exotic, purifying and dangerous road. Time to reflect and think about some new things.........

West Tour Wrap up
Sorry for the delay.
It was a great two weeks in Western Canada. I had some real great shows, saw some old friends, made some new ones and played some music...all under the deep blue summertime skies of Western Canada.
It was a crazy first day. I flew to Vancouver, switched planes, flew to Kelowna, rented a car and drove to Revelstoke. It was great to play in downtown Revelstoke on the beautiful mid summer night. The next night in Kelowna was a fun one. As always, thanks Jason for the show and thanks Roland for the sound. The Staff was really great at Doc Wiloughbys.
Then I had a long beautiful Drive through the hills of British Columbia...stopping briefly at the Enchanted Forest
for a quick 20 minute wake up walk.
Then onto the boat and onto Vancouver Island. The 2 shows on Galiano were fun, it is a great place to be in summer. I met some friendly sailers, sold some Cds, and got to hang out with my friend, the great RON SMID..Thanks again Deb
Hornby Island - The show on Hornby at the bakery, in the field under the apple and pear trees was great! It was a warm July night, with more than 100 people sitting at tables, on the grass and under the trees..what a treat. Great show, plus I hung out for another day, cruising around the island, saying hello to a few poeple I’ve met along the way, walking the parks, laying on the beaches and drowning in the wonderful late July heat. Hornby Island is still the coolest place I have ever been. I can’t wait for next year.
Salt Spring - The show at the Tree House Cafe was the best one I have done in the last 3 years. It is very cool to play outside on this stage under the plum tree. Thanks to everyone for buying the Cds. Thanks to the great Staff for helping out so much and thanks again to Rob for the show...it was nice to finally meet you (and thanks for the great Coffee).
The Dinghy Doc - this is a really fun pub. It’s floating...no lie. The 10 minute boat ride to the pub is a riot and Protection island ( which is part of Nanaimo ) is a very beautiful place. The shows ranged were Laid back, interesting and I even managed to get some sailors up on the dance floor. I hope you all enjoy the cds. thanks to Kate and all the staff.
All in all, it was a great 2 weeks.!! See you again next summer.

Tour wrap up
It is always a bit difficult to explain..but I’ll try.
This was a really great tour. The time in Belgium with Shannon Lyon was fantastic!!
The Amsterdam Show at KHL was, as always wonderful.
The show with Shannon Lyon and Rob Lamothe was more than a show..it was an experience..more than the show, it was the time spent out in the beautiful villiage of Sippenaeken, just across the Netherlands border! Thanks EVO and RON for making it happen...supper nice people. The greatest reward for a touring artist is the amazing people you meet along the way. The list is too long to mention, but we had a real fine time in Belgium and the show in Heerlen was great as well.
The show in Arnhem was a great way to end the tour...Orange Koffiehuis was a lot of fun. It is a small but mighty place, and I totally enjoyed the night. Once again I met some great people. Thanks Cor for playing along. Thanks Tjome (I’m not sure if I spelled that right)...Your help was greatly appreciated...I will see you again. As Always,,thanks VIV..
I will be quiet for a while...working on new songs and getting ready for a new recording.
There will be a short 2 week summer tour posted soon and I hope to be back in Europe in October.
See you soon
